Also, anyone know the name of number 9 for Bristol Rovers? I watched
the hilites against Bristol City and this guy (The announcer was
probably Scotish as I couldn't understand a word he said) looked
excellent. Scored 2, I think, and made a brilliant pass to set up
another. If that one game is any indication of his abilities someone
in the 1st division should pick him up and fast. he won't stay in the
    2nd division for long.

    JC,

I presume you are referring to Devon White, who has been with Rovers

player, after spending a few seasons in 'non-league' football.

    Jose,

fear not 2-2 is just our standard rumbles score at home this season
(as against stoke). I look for a totally convincing 3-2 victory

    Leeds 1-3 Man Utd
    Tottenham 2-1 Norwich
    Crystal Pal. 1-1 Nottm Forest
    Peterboro 0-0 Middlesboro

Summary from last nights TV highlights.

Man Utd looked very impressive in their 3-1 victory over Leeds, Leeds
scored first through Speed before Blackmore's stunning free kick bought
Man Utd level. Utd then won the game with two goals by Kanchelskis
    (sp ?) and Giggs.

Tottenham left it until late before beating Norwich, Fleck had put
Norwich ahead and there was only 13 minutes left when Walsh equalised,
Bowen then missed a great chance for Norwich before Lineker scored the
    winner.

Nigel Clough's late equaliser took Forest and Palace back to the City
ground - Palace had taken the lead when Walker steered McGoldrick's
    cross into his own goal.

Middlesboro had the chances to beat Peterboro easily but only succeeded
in hitting the workwork three times.

I didn't see it, but I heard SWFC scored 5 of the six goals.
I also heard we (SWFC) were put under ALOT of pressure in the 2nd half,
which had me worrying about a repeat of the Man Utd game on Boxing Day.
The Owls have a tendency to sit back on a handsome lead, which would
be fine if their defence was any good - but it's not.
Poor old Pearson was carried off to hospital with a suspected broken
leg - weakening the defence further.
Still, a good result for Wednesday who are looking very good going
forward these days, despite our main man up front Hirst being out
    injured.

Trev was interviewed at the start of the second half :

"What did you say to them at half-time"

"I told them to continue attacking as every time we go forward we look
    like scoring"

...I thought most of the Owls were English speaking, but something got
    lost in the translation....

By A LOT of pressure, you mean Blackburn put their centre-half at
Centre-forward. Unfortunately (for them) he's no Paul Warhurst.

Good save by Woods at the death, but that was the extent of it.
