Vitesse are a nice site (mind ya not in England last week) but they just miss
that little extra bit to become champions, I rate them between place 3 and 5
but if they can get the right players and their new ground (Akzodrome) than they
make a pretty good change.

    I agree with .1, Although Vitez are doing quite well at the moment,
    except in the UEFA cup, their good results have more to do with
    the poor performances of other clubs, and the current demise
    of Dutch Football. Many teams in Holland are in a form crisis
    at the moment, but will no doubt recover during the season.
    I doubt very much if they are championship material, they are
    simply unfashionable, their stadium is a relic, and their crowds
    are very low (average 8000-10000) which goes to show that not
    many people are interested in watching them. Once they come
    up against real opposition then I doubt very much whether they'd
    do well. This was clearly reflected in the game against
    Norwich City, an average English side, when Vitess were totally
    outplayed. 
    
    Don't get me wrong, I admire they way that the Chairman has got
    the show on the road, he has transformed them from a poverty-stricken
    club to a reasonably succesful one. He has made plans for the future,
    the only thing is that they are miles behind the big three -
    Ajax, Feyenoord, and that other club in Eindhoven. Whether they
    catch up is anybody's guess

    Because last year they stood 2 points behind Ajax Amsterdam.
    And they won the game against PSV with 1-0.
    They are getting better and better every year.
    I think that we will win saterday againt PSV.
    And Hans Gillhaus will scores 2 goals.

Winning against PSV isn't that big, Utrecht had a bad season last year but
they did PSV 2-0 in Utrecht and about the 2 points behind Ajax that's not
supurb either 'cause Ajax finished 3th last season, if you can do this again
when Ajax win the league (I don't think so on both) then you can say that
it could happen.

    I don't think so. Their a top 4 English club at present but maybe
    the English league is average.
                           

    
    Vitesse - Norwich 0-0, game was absolutely gutless, mainly interrupted
    by fouls by Messrs Bos and Gillhaus, the latter testing Ruel Fox's
    shin-pads. Norwich played the game well i.e. the knew how to hold
    on to their 3-0 aggregate. Vitesse, who in an unusual P.R. campaign,
    had been posting adverts in the local newspaper all week showing mug-shots
    of a different player each day and their comments about how they 
    were going to revenge the 3-0 victory at Carrow Road were just
    not worthy of the next round. Well done Norwich.

Who said PSV will be champions this season? Read the replies and you will
see that there isn't a word about PSV becoming champions.

I hope Feyenoord will pull it off again.

BTW Vitesse was lucky to score 2-2 with just 10 minutes to go.

Well if that's the case Ronnie and your mates then why were you trailing twice
and only managed to pull off a draw with 10 minutes to go. Get a life!
