Actually, the GRAMMAR conference is rather quiet -- also, you'll find
that many of the same people inhabit both conferences.

By the way, the correct idiom is, I believe, "Barking UP the wrong tree."

Which, of course, refers to the canine tendency to forget the tree up which
it recently chased any number of things particularly of the rodent variety.
Though it could be that the poor dog didn't notice that the squirrel had

I read something I thought was just *wonderful* this morning. Someone was
descirbing something as "not for the feint-hearted*.
I wonder if that includes lawyers and sales-people?

I wonder if a cannibal with a feint heart could win a maiden fare?

Didjoo hear the one about the second-story man who wanted to fence his
stolen goods but didn't want to visit the fencer's place of business in
the seedy part of town, because venturing there was not for the
    feint-hearted?

No, but tell me :^)

I did hear the one about couple who wanted to live next door to a
successful receiver of stolen goods, because they'd heard that good fences
made good neighbours.
