1248.0. "Software P error ?" by KERNEL::SMITH () Tue Mar 11 1997 09:03

      Some users of DECquery (DECQUERY.EXE image ident "v1.6-0") on
    one of our VAXstations have reported that a 'Software P' error has
    been returned on sorting selected collections of records, and when
    trying to save selected collections of records.
      Is it known what the 'Software P' error represents? Could it
    signify a resource limitation of some description? Executing the
    record selections manually with SQL permits completion of the work.
      Can anyone throw any light on the problem?

    Many thanks
    Ewan Smith - UK CSC.

1248.4Waiting for requested infoICS::GRETTUMTue May 06 1997 13:4413
    Ewan,

    I sent your problem description to Touch in March. They asked me to get
    additional information. They wanted to know the exact steps taken to
    produce the error list. I forwarded that request to you in late March.
    You did not provide the additional information requested.
    You contacted me in mid April and agreed to try and move the customer
    to DECdecision as DECquery for VMS has retired. You were going to
    contact me after you talked to the customer, but you didn't get back to
    me.
    So, I'm waiting for you.
    Regards,
    Lynne
