U2! Why Paddy, your musical taste certainly has changed. Have
you been hanging around with Kevin Sullivan?

I have most of their tapes in my car and the concert programs at
home. I will look for an address for you.

Tell me, are you thinking of asking them to perform a concert at
your house next St. Paddy's Day?

    Brian,

I'll only be playing the Bodhran, keVin on the 2 buttom accordion,
and Murphy with his tin whistle.

We are known as WE 3 and will soon run U 2 out of business 8*)

536.9more for U2WILLEE::OROURKEFri Mar 24 1989 18:1632

    Paddy,

I would definately pick U2 over Noel Henry for my wedding reception.
It is a good thing your daughter isn't marrying until '94 because
it will take you that long to save up. The lads are good, but they
    t'aint cheap!!!!!!

My program from the Unforgettable Fire tour had a couple of other
addresses for fan stuff. Both require a stamped, self-addressed
    envelop

    In England: U2
    	         P.O. Box 48
    		 London

    In North America: U2
    			 P.O. Box 156
    		         Princeton Junction, N.J. 08550

I think the band is still managed by Paul McGuinness. They signed
with Island Records in April 1980. Island is a division of Warner
    Communications.

Hope this helps (because I want to find out what you're up to as
    well!!!!!!

time to organise another trip to the Court, he may be drying out.

      Now Murphy

I don't know what I'm up to half the time. This may be one of those
times. Actually I was going to write them and ask them to recommend
a good band for the event. 8*)

Maybe I'll just wait to ask Christy Moore in May....

Paddy, if you are planning to have U2 perform at your daughters
wedding, I'll pay for an invitation. I am a big fan, but I
unfortunately have never had the pleasure of seeing them perform
    live.

    Kathleen,

you have not LIVED until you have seen the power and passion
    in a U2 performance.

To see them perform I would ALMOST consider marrying Paddy's daughter
    myself.

Now come on Me??????? I'd never ignore anyone.

I am just scoping out the possibilities that are out there.

Testing the level of interest, building a new image so to speak....

I mean Murphy once told me " Culbert ye have no #@%$^%& taste in music
    at all". 8*)

So the kind of person I am and just knowing that Murphy has the
best ear for good music ( I know that is a fact because he told
me so) I have decided to broaden my exposure.

Now if anyone believes that I have a bridge I want to sell them

    Hi,
Does anybody out there know the lyrics of BAD. That is the U2
version not Wacko's jape. Whils't I realise that U2 probably pinched
the the words from YE-3, I really would appreciate it if some kind
person could take the time to put em down here.

If you twist and turn away
If you tear yourself in two again
If I could, yes I would
        If I could, I would
        Let it go

        Surrender, dislocate

If I could throw this life-less
        Life-line to the wind
        Leave this heart of clay
        See you walk, walk away

        Into the night
        And through the rain
        Into the half-light
        And through the flame

        If I could through myself
        Set your spirit free
        I'd lead your heart away
        See you break, break away

        Into the light
        And to the day

        To let it go
        And so to fade away
        To let it go
        And so fade away

        I'm wide awake
        I'm wide awake
        Wide awake
        I'm not sleeping
        Oh no...

        If you should ask
        Then maybe they'd tell you
        What I would say
True colors fly in blue and black
Through silken sky and burning flack

        Colors crash
        Collide in blood-shot eyes

If I could, you know I would
        If I could, I would
        Let it go

        This desparation, dislocation,
        Separation, condemnation,
        Revelation, in temptation,
        Isolation, desolation...

        Let it go
        And so fade away
        To let it go
        And so fade away
        To let it go
        Oh no
        And so to fade away

        I'm wide awake
        I'm wide awake
        Wide awake
        I'm not sleeping
        Oh no...
