Would you entertain another request for the gaelic spelling and
pronunciation of my son's names?

Good! My son has threatened me with the removal of certain parts
of my anatomy which are quite private unless I can produce the correct
gaelic spelling and pronunciation of his name - Sean Patrick.

His case was made when he said, "Why give me a name that you can't spell
or pronounce correctly?". Good point, so could you provide me with
the aforementioned and allow me to keep my proverbials intact?!

Great keVin! But what if my son asks about the difference in spelling
of the two versions you gave me? My manhood may still be at risk!

753.7Waht does it *mean*, though?GRANPA::TTAYLORI do not want what I haven't gotTue Jun 05 1990 18:518
Thanks everyone. But what I *really* want to know, is what do these
names (Sean & Michael) *mean* in Gaelic?

(Example, my name, Tammi, is a derivative of Tamara, "the palm tree",
in Hebrew) - except it doesn't fit for me! I'm not tall and slender,
I'm short and curvy -- more like a shrub than a tree!

    Thanks! Tammi

Mike,

My son and I thank you very much, but especially I because I can
now retain whatever vestiges that I have left of my manhood!

Tammi,

enough nonsense from these lunatics, I will try my best to answer your
question. Fear not, I'm sure that Sean Michael's name suits him:

Sean is Irish for John which is Hebrew for "God's gift"
Michael is Hebrew for "Who is like God" which is both a statement
		and a question.

Michael Kevin Joseph Gavin, the brother of Sean Joseph MacDara, and son
of John Joseph William!
