Hello, Is The KZPSA->SWXRC-04 (HSZ40) supported on Prioris ZX 6200MP (Intel) running WindowsNT v4.0? We see the controller (KZP), but don't see any devices on it. The subsystem was ordered as a SWDKT-CA and was originally intended to go on an AlphaServer 2100. Now the customer wants it on the Intel box. The SWXRC-04's are running v27Z-3. Is this a supported configuration, or will this only run on Alpha? Thanks in advance, Dave Robert 615-872-6125 (office) 615-923-8425 (pager) [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

You need to order the Intel NT kit which has all the software pieces and drivers. Otherwise yes it all works and is fully supported. I believe the part number is SWIKT-CA. It includes a different adapter card, cables, docs and drivers.

Robert, Your configuration is definitely not certified on a ZX6000. The controller that the PCBU (and StorageWorks) certifies for Intel servers is the Adaptec 2944W aka SWXA3-BC, (the KZPSA being for Alphas). Peter.

You didn't read all of my answer. Yes the 410 is supported, when you order the proper kit you get a different adapter. No the KZPSA is not supported. The SWXA3 is supported and I think it is identical to the 2944W. |
