| Better late than never... having lived through a major benchmark using
HSZ50s, we learned that there is a lot more to telling Digital UNIX about
HSZ50s than just editing cam_data.c... the release notes are very
misleading. You actually have to modify 3 files:
cam_data.c, devio.h, and simport.o
There is a patch to do this, from the Digital UNIX Notes conference:
<<< TURRIS::DISK$NOTES_PACK2:[NOTES$LIBRARY]DIGITAL_UNIX.NOTE;1 >>>
-< DIGITAL UNIX >-

The patch is available on guru. Contact Dick Goodwin.
I've enclosed the info from Dick

Bill Arvidson asked me to package up some test patches for the v32x
hsz50 support (devio.h and cam_data.c), so I did, and they are
available in:
guru:/usr/guest/misc/osf/hsz50/*.tar
I believe this directory is available by anonymous ftp (/usr/guest/ is
the
anonymous ftp root).
