	Are you referring to Section 6.7?

	The instructions for restoring the root partition for V4.0A
	are in the V4.0 Security Management Guide (Section 6.4).
	There are differences with V3.1A.

	If you do not have the V4.0 Security Management Guide, ask.

	Can you please explain to me what you are restoring?
	I'm assuming you have dumped, from a V4.0A system, a
	root file system to tape.  Now you want to restore it
	to a new "a" partition on some other disk.

	If that is not the case, let us know.
