167.51Walter's recordings of #2 #3COOKIE::MUNNSdaveWed Feb 12 1997 15:527
    With much anticipation I finally experienced Bruno Walter's recordings
    of Brahms' symphonies 2 & 3. The performances are meaningful and
    Sony's 20 bit remastering of this 1960's recording is an improvement
    when compared to the CD's they released containing symphonies 1 & 4.

    Recording required 3 days for symphony #2 and 2 days for symphony #3.
    It is apparent that perfection was a goal. Sony SMK 64 471
