7109.0. "Sna peer server configuration" by HGOM19::CHARLESCHEN () Thu May 29 1997 06:05

    HI,

       When I try to configure dnses on DUNIX V4.0. It can be configured.
    But when I rebbot the machine, it says that
    Framework error: subsystem "wdd_dnses" failure
    subsystem:       No such device

    Wdd_dnses: Device configuration error
    Wdd_dnses: No controler available

    I have done dnses on DUNIX V3.2g, it works. So I think whether I should
    do some work on ECU or framewire. Do someone knows that? Thanks in
    advance.

I will assume you are using Peer Server v1.3. Peer Server 1.3 is not supported
on DUNIX 4.0. If you want to run peer server on DUNIX 4.0, you will need to
get Peer Server v1.4.

    Hi,

      I just use the sna peer server V1.4 , I copied down from America.
    When I try to configure this product on DUNIX V4.0, I encountered the
    last error. Can you give me other advice?
    Thanks
7109.3Need a new WAN Kit ???EDSCLU::KELLYMon Jun 02 1997 13:5816
We have found out that in Peer Server ver 4.0 this was a known problem with
the WAN test kit versions (EFT kits). A fix has been provided in the
latest WAN kit release.

The kit was released May 30th on CD or you can get the latest version from:

netrix:/kits/osf1/WAN_V3.0/*.tar

If this does not fix the problem, let us know.

Thanks,

Jim Kelly

7109.4can't reach the nodeHGOM19::CHARLESCHENTue Jun 03 1997 09:187
    Hi,

       I have the node netrix::"/kits/osf1/WAN_V3.0/*.tar", but it seems
    that the node netrix is unreachable. Is something wrong with netrix?

    See you.

	Try ftp to netrix.lkg.dec.com(16.20.232.31) from the same directory.

7109.7Fix your DECnet node databaseEDSCLU::GARRODIBM Interconnect EngineeringWed Jun 04 1997 13:175
    NETRIX:: is up and running using DECnet. You must have a wrong DECnet
    address for it. You need to get your node database updated, I believe
    NETRIX changed its DECnet address sometime in the last few months.

    Hi,

      Sorry, I think I can't copy it from netrix. Is there any other
    locations?

    Thanks.

    You need to be more specific about what your problems are. I have no
    problems from here with either ftp or DECnet. NETRIX is 4.750.

    Try either of these (they both work for me):

    $ copy/log  4846::"/kits/osf1/WAN_V3.0/WANOSF_300_KIT.tar" WAN_V30.TAR
    OR:
    $ ftp 16.20.232.31
    FTP> cd /kits/osf1/WAN_V3.0
    FTP> bin
    FTP> get "WANOSF_300_KIT.tar"

    If that doesn't work for you, you're not on the right network!
