Hi

I did install 2.5B.08 OBB to VAX VMS  V6.2-1H3

The installatin was ok but the IVP hang and I had to ctrl C it

I did some test and find out that I can:

	 start the OBB ok
	 shutdown hang
 	 $mc obb$cmd gives me the OBB prompt
	  show server -> hang and if I let it stay 2-3 minutes it came out with
OBB> show ser
%OBB-E-CMD_SRVFETFAIL, Could not find the requested servers.
-OBB-E-INV_TRANSERR, Transport error
     `%SYSTEM-F-UNREACHABLE, remote node is not currently reachable'.

OBB> exit

	The transport is DECNET


Situation:

1. It is problen with OBB not able to connect to agent/server
2. DECNET problem maybe (no other problens find so far with the net)

Questions:

1. Where can I see to what node OBB tries to connect
2.  ?????

	I've no idea what problem you've got there but try some other things: - try the network tester (it tests basic network connection) - is the agent running? Anything in the log files? - what's your current configuration? (You made the DECnet current, right) - put lots of trace on - what do you get with sho serv? - try some other commands: sho cont/sys, sho agen, etc. (mc obb$cmd is bit unusual, you can just: appl/brok sho serv) Can you anyway upgrade to 2.7-11? 2.5B is starting to be old. Do you know much about ObjectBroker? If not then contact Olli Mannisto. John D.

	John The weekend has somehow solved my problems ... no on monday morning ererything seems to be working ok ?????? The system has been up 3 days 16 hours so they have not booted it ... I will ask from the customer if he has done anything related to this error.
