    I happen to be into collecting comic books and on a wim picked
    up a box of these olny now asking myself why ?

    	There is a Costco in West Springfield, Mass. (only store in the
    entire Northeast) and I happen to shop there. They have cards there,
    but I haven't seen the looney ones... I'll check again.

237.5Nice cards, lousy numbering schemeBBCARD::MCAULIFFEFri Feb 01 1991 18:1820
	RE: .0

	I believe the set contains a total of 297 double faced cards (three
	series of 99 cards per). Each card contains two different numbers,
	one on the front and one on the back with the halogram. There are
	several different stories, I think three per series. There's also
	nine hologram cards.

	I like the colorful design but can't stand how they numbered the
	cards. Also, I bought a box that said they contained only Series
	I cards but found that they contained cards from 1-594.

	RE: .1

	John, are you sure you're talking about these cards?? These were
	made by Upper Deck, which means that boxes should be at least $20.
	There is another comic book card made by Marvel Comics.

237.6There's a reason for the numbering...MAGIC::DUFFER::CAMERONThis looks like it could be Gravy!Mon Feb 04 1991 13:067

    	You do realize why they numbered the cards that way. It's so they
    can be inserted into a nine pocket sheet, you read each row left to
    right, then when you turn the page you can do the same on the back.
    99 cards fit nicely into 11 sheets.

    Well, I went back to check, and they didn't have any left. So the
    answer is a definite "I don't know". Perhaps I was mistaken.

237.11Duplicate Looney Tunes to trade58923::HANDYL. HANDY DTN 631-7257 'THE GNOME'Wed Sep 11 1991 19:1917

    My wife and I have been trying to collect a complete Looney Tunes set,
    but find it rather difficult as we have many dupliates and triplicates.
    I also noticed that some of the packs have been tampered with.
    Because of this, we have managed to find only 2 holograms plus a
    duplicate Daffy Duck.

    I more than willing to trade with someone, especially in the Toronto
    area.

    I can be reached at DTN 631-7257, or at TROA01::HANDY.

    Thanks,
