| In the latest SCD, CCC has ads for the 1956 and 1957 Archives set.
Looks like 274 cards all total, gold card in each pack, chance to
win original cards - like the '54 Baseball.

Don't know ... I ordered a set from CCC ... it usually takes them a
couple weeks after a release date to get their hand collated sets into
the mail. If I haven't gotten anything by the 18th I'll give them a
call (given their history it's unrealistic to expect them sooner than
that). I'll update everyone when I hear from CCC.

I received my set of 56-57 reprints late last week. I like them a lot,
more than the baseball reprints. The reprints are done on "standard
size" cards on the new (for TOPPS) high quality stock used in the
baseball reprints.
57s ... these reprints are excellent IMO. They look very bright and
sharp. This set was originally in "standard size" anyways.
This allowed me to get rookie cards for Starr, Hornung, Unitas,
etc ... very, very, cheap ... from a set I wouldn't pay a lot
for the originals because I'm not fond of the design.
56s ... I love the originals from this set (these are oversized cards
typical of the mid 50s). I did not expect to like the
reprints. I think they are excellent ... the color is
excellent and for some reason the smaller card size does not
diminish the cards much IMO (I have about 15 of the originals)
... (the smaller card size seems to make the baseball reprints
less impressive than the originals IMO)
Great buy for $40,

When I got my TOPPS reprints the CCC included some sample 1950 Bowman
football reprints. I already have this set so I figured I'd offer them
to you folks. Limit one per person. First Come First Serve. Let me
