639.0. "94 Parkhurst 56-57 Hockey, "the Missing Link"" by MSDOA::PARKERJ () Mon May 16 1994 15:51

Anyone see the missing link Parkhurst product yet. I would be curious
as to folks impressions, availability, and prices you see in different
areas of the country. I have not seen them in any shop in SC, I also
    do not expect to.

    Does anyone know ...

    into the set?

    Thanks,
    Greg

Are they reprints of cards from the 50's?
Are the cards of players from the 50's or are they current players with
    the cards just looking older?
Anyone know a shop that has them for sale around central Mass.?

    Thanks,

    Mike

the cards are made from original plates that were lost
Parkhurst never printed the 56/57 set.
the cards are of the fiftys players HOWE,HALL,SAWCHUCK ETC.
they look like cards of the fifties the image of a player
with a white background like the 55/56 Parkhurst.
bought 4 more packs yesterday, doubles up to 14.

I have seen them for sale in New Hampshire (Portsmouth) when I was
there this weekend. I did not buy any as hockey is not my sport unless
I am picking up something for a friend.

i bought 8 more packs doubles up to 48
    lousy collation it's no wonder i don't
    like putting set's together.
i got an autograph card BOOM BOOM GEOFFRION
    #467 of 956.
does anybody know who else is doing autograph's
    in that set
639.9Maybe D. Harvey as wellMSDOA::PARKERJThu May 26 1994 13:386
There are a few names listed on the back of the allstar cards I
believe. These are the ones offering the autographed puck for 39.95.
I think the player auto's would be the same as those. I know Bealiveau
    is another of those.

Maybe I got lucky. I bought a box (at Hall's in Arlington) and got a
    complete set ... 240 cards - 180 singles and 60 doubles (I even got
"good" doubles). They told me they had sold one other box and that
that person also had got a complete set from that box.

I think the cards are great. I hope Parhurst reprints their complete
run from the 1950-1963 time frame. I certainly will go for them if
    they print them.
