548.0. "1993 Topps Stadium Club Baseball" by FUTURE::JST_ONGE (John St.Onge USDSL DTN 275-2715) Tue Apr 06 1993 10:49

    Opened up a couple boxes of Stadium Club baseball. Much better than
    last year, however you only get 24 packs per box, 14 cards per pack.
    I got a George Brett 3000 Hit insert and Nigel Wilson Insert. I also
    got two of those "Master Photo" winners where you send it in and get
    three "Master Photos" back.

    I didn't sort them yet, but plan on buying two boxes at least since
    I had many doubles in the first box I opened so I knew I wouldn't
    make a set with only one box.

    Big names include Frank Thomas, Kirby, Roger Clemens ...

548.11st day production??CARTUN::PAVLOCKSun Apr 11 1993 23:2418
    		** 1st Day production TSC Baseball Cards **

    I stopped at Hudmar's in Marlboro, Mass last Friday and he had four
    (including Clemens) of this year's TSC cards with a "1st day
    production" stamp (in silver foil) on the front of the cards. The guy
    that sold them to him said he opened 6 boxes and got on of these cards
    per box. Looks like the regular numbered card of the player but the
    front has this special stamp on it.

    He asked me to asked you folks:

    	- Has anyone else got these card(s) in their boxes?

    	- Anyone have any information on these cards?

    Regards,
    Denny

    I got three of them Raines, Pena and someone else. The little silver
    stamp is barely noticeable I thought.

    John,

    So you got basically one card per box, right?

    I sorted through my TSC last night for the 1st Day card. I did
    have one. Hey Denny it's some guy named Frank Thomas. Wonder if
    I can find someone that wants it???? I'm sure we can work something out
    for Gregory.

548.8Just getting back into collecting...SNAX::ERICKSONThe snow has melted, time to tee off!Thu Apr 15 1993 20:309
	Just started collecting again. Bought about 10 packs of '93 TSC
and got hooked. So I went and bought a box. Need 34 more cards to complete
Series 1. Have 5 members only cards, 2 Juan Gonzolez cards. Plus the Brett
3000 hit and Nigel Wilson of the Marlins. Plus have the cards to mail in and
get 9 out of the 12 master photo cards, not bad for a start. Hope to finish
the set then work on series 2.

548.10Toys 'R Us Stadium Club SetFUTURE::JST_ONGEJohn St.Onge USDSL DTN 275-2715Tue Apr 27 1993 00:157
    I was at Toys 'R Us this weekend and noticed that Stadium Club put out
    a special "boxed" set for Toy 'R Us. Actually it looks like Dome set,
    except instead of a stadium case, it's a case that looks like a toy
    store. Price was kind of steep though (25$) for 100 cards and 12 of
    those Master Photos.

    The Stadium Club team sets that are being sold at retail outlets are
    not the same design as the regular set. The local Caldor's had a few
    of the sets (Marlins, Rockies, Rangers, Braves and White Sox). Price
    was kind of steep though - 7$ for each set. They had tons of Rockies
    and Marlins, only a few of the others.
