    Saw the new Score Select Baseball cards. While they're nice cards,
    they're definitely not worth the price (guy wanted 43$ for a box).
    They aren't in the same class  as  Pinnacle,  Ultra etc. I thought
    they were more along the lines of their regular issue. I think the
    price on these will drop a lot.

    This topic is for 1993 Score Select Baseball.
    
    I bought a box at BJ's over the holiday and just finished opening and
    sorting it over the weekend.
    
    I think it's a nice looking set.  It includes regular players, draft
    piks and 1992 Rookie Prospects.  It includes a 24 card insert set, of
    which I got 3 in the box (packs say one per 18 packs).
    
    Between the box and a few packs Steve Hayes gave me I'm about 20 cards
    short of a 405 card (I think) set.
    
    Does anyone have any other details about this set?
    
    Will there be a Series II?
    
    Is there only 405 cards in Series I?
    
    Anyone got a list of who the 24 insert stars are?
    
    Any other details would be appreciated.

    There is also a 3 card Triple Crown set inserted in these boxes.
    I opened 1 box and got the full set. It's Yaz,Mantle, and Frank
    Robinson. They have a metallic green front.

    I went to a small show today and picked up a set for 20$.  The dealer
    said he opened a lot of boxes trying to get the insert cards. I guess
    there were two different types  of  wax boxes. The "hobby" boxes (the
    ones dealers get) had the Triple Crown set in addition to the "Select
    Stars" insert set.

    Question.... does anyone out there know were I can buy the Mantle
    triple crown card I have Yaz and Frank R. but no luck finding
    Mantle..Any help would be appriciated...
