167.2I got a few guys picked already!RAYBOK::DAMIANOThe mark of the beastFri Aug 17 1990 16:0010
I'm interested, sounds like fun! I've never played rotis. before, but
I'm reasonably intelligent and should be able to figure it out! 8^)

Question, though. By you're "rookie card price" rule, I don't think
it would be possible to field a decent team with $260.00, funny money
or not. Or is the idea to pick prospects and cheaper guys?

Anyhow, count me in. When do we start?

Bad idea....you should just draft the rookies....easier than picking
them....and what if we don't have a priceguide?

When do we have to have this by It's kinda late for this year isn't
    it?

167.9A few questions...RAYBOK::DAMIANOThe mark of the beastMon Aug 20 1990 16:238
That's good, because a third year Clark is a little cheaper than a
rookie one. Also, can we mix leagues? And what about duplicate picks?
can more than one person own the same player? Also, you're right, it's
hard to bust through the price guide looking for rookie cards, takes
    quite a while!

My suggestion would be to just use Topps regular issues. It would
make players easier to find (and verify, commissioner). Plus, some
players rookie year may have been when there were no Fleer, Donruss,
etc. And it would avoid the problem of one person using a different
    price for the same player.

Questions on the rules......when you said 14 batters, you has "2 C".
Is this a typo? And what is "MI" and "CI"?

One other suggestion......I am currently in a league very similar to
this and out of the 14 players and 9 pitchers, the lowest scoring
player in each category is dropped to account for injuries, demotions
rehab...etc. Then if you had a player go on the DL, it wouldn't kill
    your chances.

Once we set a team, are you letting people change it. Someone could
say, Gee, I can drop dud player A and pick up stud player B and still
stay under the salary cap. Allowing this could make the commissioners
    life miserable.

I do think it's a good idea to start this now, in time to iron out any
bugs for next year.....if in fact we Do decide to try it next year.
