Boy, with all the crap I've been posting, I'd better post something
good or I'll be put into killfiles. :-)
Anyway, to beat Sodom, the trick is you have to GRAB him, SLAM him
, and then THROW him. Punching isn't going to do the trick
since your punches don't do enough damage. The trick to grabbing him is
to move up and down. Never move left and right since it greatly increas-
es your chances of getting slashed by those katanas.
When you first get into the wrestling ring, the first thing you do
is move forward and grab Sodom. Press attack twice to knee him twice and
then throw him into the ropes. Jiggle your character up and down and if
you're lucky, you'll grab Sodom again. Repeat.
If Sodom knocks you down, no big deal. Get back up and try to grab
him again being careful not to give him a cheap shot by moving left and
right. If you have to move left or right, make sure Sodom isn't on the
same "level" as you. Once you managed to grab him, knee twice and throw
him into the ropes. I can kill Sodom without dying on both Super Famicom
Final Fight and arcade so this trick is good. Of course, sometimes Sodom
will rip you off and you'll die once. But you should never die more than
once if you do this trick right.
Actually, the hardest boss in Super Famicom Final Fight is Abigail.
He attacks MUCH differently from the arcade.

Subject: Defeating Abigail In Super NES Final Fight
I believe that Abigail in Super NES Final Fight is the only boss
that is very much different from the arcades when it comes to the tech-
niques necessary to defeat him. To defeat Abigail, I found it easiest
to use Haggar. Now the trick : you have to do the jumping kick to kill
Abigail since his reach is so great. When Abigail charges to punch you
with one of those super-punches, jump and attack. You don't have to be
stationary when you jump.
The whole trick is to kick him only. If you're careful, you'll be
able to kill Abigail without dying. I've found it impossible to grab
and knee him like the other bosses (final boss not included). The only
time I was able to grab Abigail, knee him, and then throw him was right
after I lost a life and had the few seconds of invincibility.
