My comments on River City Ransom --

The game is basically a double dragon type, where you (and a second player if 
you want) go through the streets beating up bad guys. The game differs in the
following ways.
     - you can continue : either with a password, or when you die. 

     - you can collect money and buy items in shops : this part is really funny,
       you can buy things like pancakes, teddy bears, cd players... each of the
       items you buy increase various attributes of your character. One of the
       funny things you can do is go into one of the food shops and get a smile
       from the waitress for free. Graphics are funny.

     - There are many items to pick up and use and throw, including player 2!

     - Good sound in the game, a metal pipe sounds different than a wooden stick.

     - You can go left and right, up and down through the streets in order to 
       get to other areas.

the graphics for the characters are passable, the fight scenes are funny to 
watch. The game is not really that difficult, I finished it in 2 or 3 nights.
Definitely worth a rental. The only problem I had with the game was

the ending of the game is not one of the better endings. But definitely fun to
play and worth a rental.

    I have been having trouble getting into the high school does anybody
    know how to do it?

    When you face the door man to High School use the Acro Circus when he
    tries to pick up a weapon.

    First, buy every trick.  Then, go in to the high school and beat all of
    the bosses.  Then, go to the top level and beat the twins with the
    dragon feet.

    I got to the River City High School door and can't get in. there's no
    man at this door that I can see.  I go right and hit  a blank
    wall. Help, how do I go further??     Do I need a certain item, weapon?
    Do I have to power up?

Minor spoiler...

You have to have beaten all of the "bosses" at least once.  Don't forget
the ones in the "back" - the game isn't just left to right...

    RE:.7 ok, thanks, now tell me how to use the password process.  I want
    to save myself, but each time I try to use the password screen I get
    "wrong password".  I'm confused!

Passwords:

The passwords in River City Ransom are a pain... but I've been told that they
are easy compared to other games (ha!).  When you are at a certain point in the
game, you go to the password screen and write down all of the  letters and
numbers for your character.  Alex is on the left + Ryan is on the right.  The
password is case-sensitive, and pay close attention to  the apostrophes.  You
have to use the BACK key and retype those over the letter when you input them
(the  apostrophe shows up to the right of the character).

Ifinally figured out how to put them in, but every so often I would make
a mistake and be unable to retrieve the character.  One tip: write down
several passwords with a little play in between... that way one mistake 
won't lose the entire character.

Also watch out for the characters that look alike: B and 8, g and 9; refer
to the key at the bottom when you write down the letters.

Well I finally figured out the password screen and was able to accumulate 
enough power to move on to win.  I like this game because I can win it without
months of play and/or stress overloads.  You can actually get your moneys
worth!!!
