| I played Karnov in an arcade and then went and bought it. The Nintendo
version is not as good as the arcade version. Your shot-multiplying
stops at two instead of three or more. I think some of the monsters
are missing. The statues you should pieces out of to bring down and
kill have been changed to statues you shoot only the heads of.
It is good for a home game, but don't expect the arcade version.

To use a flashing option press the select button (left). I have
not played the game that much but have noticed that I had to do
that to use the ladder.

| Got a call from by brother-in-law in S.C. asking for some help!
He said he can make it the end of level 4? (not familiar with
game), but cannot kill the "snakelady". How can she be killed?
Other spoilers are welcome so this guy can learn from his northern
brother-in-law.

| Snake Lady spoiler (after <FF>):
The easiest way to kill the 'snake-lady' at the end of Level 4 is
by sticking to the top of the level, thru the whole level, and using
the wings to fly to where the snake-lady appears.
When she appears, she will slowly float down the screen, from the
top, before firing.
This is your chance to hover at about the same height, start firing
'at her head' while using the joystick to float down at the same
speed as she is.
If your aim is on target, all or most of your shots will hit her
in the head and she'll be about %90 killed. Just fly about while
shooting more shots to the head and she's out of the picture!

To all you noters:
I noticed the spoiler at 67.6, but it doesn't seem to work for
me. I can't use the wings, no matter how many I stockpile, since
the "flasher" select option doesn't stop on the wings. HELP!!!!!
(Sorry, didn't mean to shout.)
Also, in stage four, at several points during the stage I hear
a chime go off periodically. What does this mean, if anything? No,
I do not mean when I use, say, the high jump boots and their use
is about to end.
Finally, major spoiler also required as to how I get into the
first underground cave (you know, where the short ladder stops in
the middle of solid rock)????

Hi Mich,
The spoiler 67.6 does indeed work. I saw my son accomplish this
last night.
Spoilers follow*****
The key here is the answer to your second question about the
Chime. This chime allows you to select either the mask or the wings in
certain locations throughout the game. If you notice when the chime comes
on the select flasher will automatically go to the item which is being allowed
for use. The flasher will change quickly if you are in the process of
moving though.
The area where the ladder is in solid rock requires that you use
bombs early on in the phase. You will note during the first section a ladder
on the third step to go up the mountain. jump to the next step above the
ladder and place a bomb. A passageway will be opened and you will eventually
end up at the short ladder you mentioned.

| I have some possible spoilers**** The form feed (CTRL-L) doesn't
work so I guess I'm doing something wrong. Anyway, I'll do the best
that I can.
***<POSSIBLE SPOILERS>***
Once you come on the screen in the level, I forget which one, the
one where he has to go up the mountain. As soon he comes on the
screen use the ladder right there. There's a power ball up there.
***HERE'S ANOTHER***
Same level. Before you start up the mountain. If you jump arround
on the right side of the flat some bombs will appear, about 10,
you will need these to find and get through the secret cave.
