 	At long last it has come to this.
  
  	After 9 years, it saddens me to have to report that my employment by
Digital will soon be coming to an end.  Many others who have left recently
have made statements that echo some of my feelings as well, and I will not
repeat them here.  I have outlined some of my positions to my management in
a letter that is publicly acessible for those who may be intrested.  It
is at

	One point that I do want to make in this open forum is what a
singular privilege and honor it has been to work with my colleagues at
Digital, including all of you whom I have never even met, but have 
corresponded with many times through VAXMAIL and Notes.  The quality of
persons that I have dealt with in Digital, both in technical expertise,
human understanding, and a sincere desire to help each other has made my
experience at Digital a genuine pleasure.  I only hope that I have been 
able to return a small fraction of this experience that has so enriched me.
 
 	I would also like to maintain contact with as many of you who are
intrested.  If you also would like to stay in touch with me, or have any
questions about my departure, please send me a mail message at CHOVAX::YOUNG
(VMS Mail) or _CHOVAX::YOUNG (MTS) as soon as possible.  I will be sending
out a mail message before I leave in response.
