1222.0. "Soft copy of Numerical Recipies in C?" by GENRAL::HEINTZE () Thu Apr 19 1990 00:03

    I (personally) ordered the floppy of Numerical Recipies in C in Feb.
    They claim to have sent it in mid March. I just received the floppy
    and I cannot read it. I think the floppy is bad because I'm reading
    it on a IBM-clone that has worked fine for other floppies .

    Cambridge press said they would send me another floppy - but I don't
    have hopes of getting that soon. I need this for a school assignment
    now.

    Can anyone supply me with a softcopy? It might not be legal in the
    strictest sense, but it would be moral because I did pay my hard cash
    and I need it soon!

        Can you ask them to send it by Federal Express? Do you
        have access to any machines that might be able to read
        the floppy (assuming you can then copy it to a spare
        floppy that your machine can read)?

I have a couple of copies of the Fortran version. Can you make do with that?

If not, I have one of these marvellous floppy-copying boards. It might be
possible to make a copy using the board and then have your box read the copy.
1222.3I'm trying those alternatives...GENRAL::HEINTZEThu Apr 19 1990 16:254
    I'm trying all those alternatives. Thanks.

Re .0

I just read this for the first time. Did you ever get the discs? I do
have the C versions and can send you copies, but coming from here in Japan they
may not get to you for a week or two. Send me mail at JRDV04::BISHOP if you
need them.
