84.0. "a related dissection" by METOO::YARBROUGH () Mon Jun 25 1984 15:42

			Another Puzzle
			By Lynn Yarbrough

The fourth son in the previous puzzle didn't like the size of his share
of the land, so he hired a lawyer to fight the will. The laywer accepted as
his fee one tenth of the fourth son's share off one corner of the land, and
got the three older sons to agree to redivide the land according to the
stipulations. Was the fourth son any happier with the result of this
division?

Hint:

In this case, knowing that a square corner will be taken at the end allows
the dissections to take the form:
	+----------+
	|          |
	|          |
	|          |
	|       +--+
	|       | ++
	+-------+-+?

Now the shape is determined by the fact that the square taken by the lawyer
is 1/10th the smallest hexagonal piece...
