855.0. "Joyce Vedral" by POWDML::GERRITS () Tue May 24 1994 21:32

Has anyone used Joyce Vedral's Fat Burning Workout book? I'm
interested in comments, reviews and experiences of others who have
    heard of it.

The "program" is based on low-fat eating (I won't use the word diet,
and I don't believe she does either) as a way of life, similar to Susan
Powter and many others, in addition to a workout program which involves
using weights/dumbbells ranging from 3-10 pounds and doing giant sets
with a minimum amount of rest time between each set, thereby turning an
anaerobic weight routine into an aerobic, fat burning routine.

I think that about explains it. Oh, it not only helps you lose fat,
but you build a little muscle (no bulky muscles) while defining your
    body.

If others are familiar with this and noticed that I missed something,
    please expand.

So far, I'm doing well on the workout and eating, although the leg
routine is pretty strenuous and the first day or two after doing it
made for slow going (boy was I sore!). However, I do feel good, and
    even stronger.

    Comments anyone?

    Lynn

    Hi,

I use Joyce Vedral's 12-minute workout book - is this the same one you
are using? I really like it - its something you can stick with for a
long time without getting bored and it really does show results. I
combined this exercise program with the weight watchers program (I've
lost 44 lbs) and walking. Works for me!

The only problem I've got with it is some of the exercises are awful
for your back. Especially the double leg lifts. If you have any
questions at all about your back, make sure your doctore reviews the
    exercises and recommends substitutes.
