747.0. "WW Quest" by PCOJCT::LOCOVARE () Fri Jun 05 1992 20:11

Hi! I am currently on Weight Watchers to get rid of the extra
poundage from having a baby. I have 6 pounds to goal and
I quess at that point you go on maintenance plan.

My question is, is the plan really just a way you should
eat from now on? 2nd question - Do they have a program
for pregnant women? When I have my next baby I want
to eat sensibly so that I don't have too much extra
poundage and have to go thru all this again...........

    Thanks

Weight Watcher's Level 3 and Level 3 + (where you add more floaters
and calories) become the maintenance levels. You'll be eating more food -
but still in the same rough proportions as when you're losing. The tough
part is keeping the optional calories down!

Weight Watcher's does have a pregnancy plan. I'm told that lifetimers
don't have to pay to be on it, even though technically, you're gaining.
(I have no idea, though, how long you have to lose the weight after you
stop nursing and still be a free lifetimer)

To answer 1 of you questions: yes, looks like this is the
way we have to eat in order to keep the weight off! It's
definitely a new way of life for me, but it's so much
healthier and I FEEL so much better.

Plus, my husband told me since I've joined WW, he's never eaten
    better in his whole life!!

    Congratulations on your success

WW aims to help you in changing your eating habits to a healthy eating
habit. So I guess by the time you reach the maintenance period of your
weight loss program you should have gotten into a habit of eating
healthy so that you do not have to count what you eat for ever but it
should become second nature to you.

At least that is what I plan to gain from it this time around. I lost
effectively and ate healthy after I was on WW 2 years ago but gained a
lot with my 2nd pregnancy even after trying to eat healthy.
