608.0. "EASY GLIDER?????" by FDCV10::RSWRK () Mon Sep 24 1990 00:15

Has anybody out there heard anything about or actually purchased
the "Easy Glider" ski machine that is currently being advertised
on Channel 56? It's a clone of the Nordic Ski Track that I know
is the best one to get but that is, unfortunately, out of my
price range (even used ones go for $150.00!).

I would like to get one of these Easy Glider things if they are
any good at all - at only $60.00 a shot this could be just the
thing to supplement my daily 2-mile walk - which does good
things for waist and thighs but doesn't seem to be doing much
for abdominal muscles which is what I really want to tame! I
can't do the "normal" tummy-tightening exercises as my back protests
to the point of landing me in bed for weeks at a time whenever
I have tried (and, yes, I know the RIGHT way to do a sit-up) to
do these. So, my doctor suggested walking which I like but doesn't
    seem to help all areas.

If anybody has any knowledge of this product (or advice about any
other method to accomplish my goal of tightening the tummy), please
let me know before I spend money on something that won't help me.

    Thanks in advance,

    Nancy

It's easy for me to talk, because I have a Nordic Track and they're
just great, but I do know one person who bought an Easy Glider and
said it was a piece of junk. Can't speak from personal experience
    though, I'm sorry.

I bought one of those things one time. It's awful! It's very
difficult to maintain a smooth motion and that can damage your knees.
I also saved my money and bought a Nordic Trak used. It's worth it!
Don't waste your money on EZ glider....
