426.0. "Herbal Body Wraps...Do They Work?" by ATREUS::SCOTT () Thu Mar 30 1989 15:35

Has anyone had any experience with herbal body wraps? I am thinking
about investing in one. They claim you shed a minimum of 6 inches, and
that it is *NOT* water weight you lose...I have a 7PM appointment
tonight, and before spending the $$ would love feedback if anyone has
    experience with this.

    Thanks!

There is absolutely NO WAY you will lose anything but water
    or air.

If they are stating otherwise, they are lying.

Thanks for the opinions...just to keep you posted, I didn't go. The
reason: I called the place and had a very interesting conversation with
    the manager...

It seems that although the AD says you'll lose a min. of 6" in one
visit, on the PHONE the manager said he could only guarantee a loss of
2 or 3 inches. I told him I was going to have my mid-section
wrapped...he said they measure you with eight different measurements
for the mid-section. Apparently they add up the lost 1/8 and 1/4
inches from the eight different measurements to obtain the 2-3" loss
they guarantee!! They only wrap you from the waist to the abdomen area,
so thats a very small area to be taking eight measurements in. After
all, the more measurements they take the more losses they can claim,
right??!! I think you guys were right about this...Thanks for saving me
    $20.00.
