| Hi Virginia,
My name is Kim, I work in Acton, MA. I know how tought it is
to get started. I have been on a diet/workout program for about
10 days now. I guess I got my incentive from the idea that I will
be relocating to Florida in 7 weeks and wanted to take 25 lbs. off
so (1) My fiancee won't look elsewhere and (2) Easier to get a
barmaid/waitress jobs which pays more than secretarial so I'll
probably pursue that direction for a while.
Anyway, I find the best way to get started is to go on a crash
diet first (in my case "low carb") which gives you fast results
but you should only stay on it for 10 days maximum because you
don't get any fruits or starches with this diet. Anyway I've
lost 10 lbs. in 10 days and that has given me the momentum and
willpower to go all the way. Tomorrow I switch to a "1000 calorie"
per day diet which is well-balanced and includes a couple of
fruits a day which I'm dying for since I couldn't have any the
first 10 days. Anyway the approximate weightloss for this diet
is 2-3 lbs. a week which means I can make my goal if I stick with
it. Oh yeah, excercise is important too. I joined a health club
and do nautilus and dancercize classes. It only takes an hour to
an hour and a half a day of my time. But you have to stay dedicated,
if you miss more than 2 days in a row, your muscles start relaxing
again.
If you are interested in my first 10 day crash, send me a message
on AKOV11::DUTTA AND I'll send it to you.
Good Luck on your program! Remember only you can control your
appetite!
Kim
