130.0. "TV ANYONE???" by BOXTOP::BOONE () Wed Oct 07 1987 14:36

                       < Aerobic Television Shows >

Has anyone any input as to the Television Shows that promote
    Aerobic exercise in your home?

Just curious as to what shows are the most beneficial to
everyone. I like the .20 Minute Workout (Aerobicise). It comes
on every weekday at 6:00A.M. on channel 38, and you definately
feel like you "WORKED OUT" when your done. I do it every day.

                 Anybody else???

This isn't a TV program, but I think the "Jane Fonda Low-Impact
Aerobic" program is good. It looks easy, but after you have
finished it, you know that you have "exercised". Also, stores
often have "sales" on this video. Hope this helps.

    In Response to 130.1:

Thanks "L" for recommending Jane Fonda's program of Low-impact
aerobics. I have that one on Laserdisc at home and it's very good.
Sometimes, it just gets monotonous doing the same video exercise
over and over again, that,s why I watch the television exercise
shows in addition to doing the ones I have available on tape, because
it's a different show every day.
Someone told me that "Morning Stretch" with Joanie Greggains
is also a good show to watch. Her specialty is also in Low Impact
    Aerobics, and lots of Stretchingggggggg!
     Thanks for responding

          Chris..

I'm new to this file.....I wanted to point out that ESPN has 2 shows,
at noon that seem pretty good, however, I have not tried it.

Found out that Joanie Greggains' Morning Stretch' is
no longer on television here in Ma. anymore...seems not
enough viewers were watching her show, and the ratings
were down. They replaced the show with a kid's show.
