1431.0. "Voice of the Employee Survey ? Anonymous ?" by COMICS::SUMNERC (OpenVMS Counter Intelligence) Mon May 12 1997 18:07

    Hello,

How anonymous is the FY97 "Voice of the Employee" Satisfaction Survey ?

Accessing the page form the Web must pass your IP address and therefore
can't be anonymous can it ? I'm sure when I did my Internet training
the IP address of the source host is always passed, unless of course
this all goes via a proxy server...I don't know, but I'd like to find
out if Big Brother is watching.

    Thanks,

    Chris

So you access it from moonbase or from kernel...

that's going to give away that you're probably in the south uk.

As a female in the csc in a techie group who's been with dec
10 years I think my survey was a lot less anonymous than
simply identifying a node!!! I'm sure there must be someone
else but I can't for the life of me work out who...

    Jo,

Maybe you should have lied about that bit. I don't think that you're
under any legal obligation to give away personal details in surveys.

Well as far as I can tell you have to lie about where you work, the UK
didn't exist when I filled out the survey, and as I cannot lie, I
    couldn't submit the form :-)
