this is best handled by Bill Allendoerfer who wrote that algorithme. I believe
the parser reckons that numbers highlighted using escape characters are
menu choices. Otherwise, it's numbers at the start of the line (I've forgotten
really - correct me, Bill)

Yes - See the VTX Web Interface documentation file at
http://osfrnt.ilo.dec.com/brian/vtx_www/vtx.htm#first_page

There are various choices you can make at the moment using the configuration
files:http://osfrnt.ilo.dec.com/brian/vtx_www/vtx.htm#config but the option to
only show the hypertext linked menu is not one of them. IT will be in the V1.1
release which will be going to EFT shortly.
> 4. How will it work with indexing and serach engines ?
It will allow access to the VTX CBR functionality.
As far as a search engine like Altavista is concerned, I don't believe that the
pages will be indexed.

this has been investigated somewhat by Bill's group (Information Services). I
think that it is possible in some limited situations but not generally. Contact
Bill Allendoerfer at POWDML::ADOERFER or Gita Devi at SHRMSG::DEVI.
