Hmmmn.. as I thought, I had put in a fix for this before the V1.0 release.
I've been using the executables on the pre V1.0 CD, which included the fix
for multinational characters, and Mauricio's page looks OK.

Bill, I've built in your change but there's no effect as it's pretty much
the same as what i'd written.

I'm wondering whether the incorrect version made it on to the V1.0 CD
somehow. I'm downloading that CD now to check.

Mauricio, what version of the Internet Product Suite did you install the
VTX Web Interface from ? Also, can you do an
$ ANAL/IMAGE/INTER of VTX_WWW_GWP.EXE and post the output of the 4th page
(ie the linker info).

In the meantime, you can copy a patch version of VTX_WWW_GWP.EXE for
testing from HNGOVR::PUBU$:[DUKE]VTX_WWW_GWP.EXE.

rgds,
Ronan

98.5I'm not sure the bug was in your section, RonanWELKIN::ADOERFERHi-yo Server, away!Wed Jan 29 1997 16:295
Ronan, are you sure your previous fix would have been for the CHOICES?
I suspect your fix was for the image of the page, but I took this
problem report to be in the menu items it generates, which your code
    doesn't do.

Bill,
I did make a change to vtx_www_gwp.bas for the released version. The
version of vtx_www_gwp.bas that was used is in hngovr::cdap$:[vtx.duke] for
you to check.
I'm running the V1.0 version of the gateway at:
 http://imbusy.ilo.dec.com:8000/htbin/vtx
I'm running the version which includes your latest change at:
 http://imslow.ilo.dec.com:8000/htbin/vtx

This gives you the main page on the VTX test server at IMSLOW,151 (port
1051). You'll see that the last menu choice has accents in it. If you
select character sets, you'll see a menu pointer to the various char sets.

As you can see, the V1.0 version did not have a problem with umlauts,
accents etc. Which is why I'm asking Mauricioo where he got the kit.

Ronan
