634.0. "Connection problem" by TARUGO::LIDIA () Thu Apr 10 1997 14:22

    Hi

A customer finds the following problem.

    Configuration:

Pathworks for VMS v5.0E in a cluster

    Pathworks for Win95 v1.0A in pc's
TCP/IP protocol running in some pc's.
TCP/IP and Netbeui protocols in another pc's.

From several days ago some of these pc's receive the error message:

"The password you specified is incorrect or your account is inactive"

The screen reads the error message when they are loading the Licensing
Agent. They cannot connect to any shared service.

All of the pc's with the error run TCP/IP some of them also Netbeui. The
customer loaded Netbeui again in some of them and added the line
PWRK$Lnode to LMHOSTS file (With #PRE and #DOM prefix) . And these pc's
now work fine. But they don't want to load Netbeui. Then,

-They don't understand why it's necessary LMHOSTS file in the same
    domain.

-If they unload Netbeui, is it possible the License Agent broke again?

-Please, are there any alternative workaround or fix? This is not valid
    for the customer.

It sounds like a TCP/IP problem, but they can run PING and TELNET
    to the server O.K.

    	Any idea?

Thanks in advance for your help,
