614.0. "VT320 and TELNET: TN not loaded" by AUBER::CORNU () Mon Feb 10 1997 12:17

    Hi,

    Where does the following error message come from ?:

    When starting VT320 from a Windows 95 PC configured for a TELNET SESSION,
    you obtain:

    TELNET Error. Either TN is not loaded or a previous version is running.
    Close Windows and verify that version 5 of TN is running, or use
    another protocol to make a network connection.

    A LAT session works.

    Thanks in advance,

    Valerie

614.2what version ?KERNEL::BURNSTWed Feb 12 1997 13:558
    What version are you using.

    Iam using v 6.0.009 and it works Ok for me.
    That message usually came from PW DOS/WIN when TN and BAPI tsr's were
    reqd to be loaded with PW TCP to run a telnet session.
    A v 5 vt320 may still be looing for DEC PW TCP to be loaded.

614.3Pathworks for windows 95 1.0AAUBER::CORNUValerie CORNU - CSC Evry FRANCEFri Feb 14 1997 13:409
    Trev,

    It may be confusing because the version of Pathworks is version 1.0A
    for windows 95 (nothing in relation with Pathworks V5).
    So, what's wrong with this version ?

    Thanks,

    Valerie
614.4The error message was a typical v5 one ??KERNEL::BURNSTMon Feb 17 1997 11:538
    Valerie,

    I only mentioned v5 PW as this was a message that I used to regularly
    see when users were trying to use VT320's and use TelNet sessions.
    Is this a new pc or did it ever run as a pw v5 one. If so check the
    version of VT320.exe as this is the version number I quoted.
