| Did you try other PCI slots in that box? If that system has one or more
non-bus master supported slots, you'll run into errors when the adapter
initiates a DMA read or write cycle.
Make sure that the slot supports bus mastering, verify that you have the latest
BIOS for the Prioris, and fetch the latest DE450 kit to make sure you're
running the latest driver.

All Prioris machines we have made are equipped with Bus Mastering
slots.
The only Digital PC that has one slot which is a none bus-mastering
device is the DECpc XL or Celebris XL.
That machine's first (top) PCI slot was slave only.
On the Prioris XL (5xxx) you could manually enable and disable
the Bus mastering capabilities. On all the other ones, including
the Prioris HX5xxx they are always bus master slots.
You could have a broken PCI slot, so I would indeed try one of the
other slots as well. The latest BIOS for the HX is v1.11

The other option is that you have bad hardware.
That message will appear when the adapter tries to send
the first DMA'd packet - and it doesn't work. Do you have
the option of trying another card?
