355.0. "Files needed to run IRIS" by SMOGGY::GSMITH () Fri Apr 04 1997 15:32

    Does anyone out there know if the other files needed to run IRIS on the
    WOW laptops are available on the net or on the internet. I saw some
    mention that they were included with Pathworks 5.0, but I can't even
    find a copy of that.

    The files needed are:	PROTMAN.SYS
    				NETBIND.COM
    				CENDIS.EXE
    				CECFG.EXE

    I have the IRIS kit and it has IRISNDIS.SYS in it and I have a
    PROTOCOL.INI file. I just need the others.

    Thanks for any help...

    Gary...

    PROTMAN.SYS and NETBIND.COM are available from Microsoft's Software
    Library (part of the knowledge base) - I'll re-read the license,
    but it might be ok for me to include the .ZIP file they ship
    unmodified on the IRIS kit, or at least put it in the same
    directory.

    CENDIS.EXE and CECFG.EXE are part of Xircom's adapter drivers. You
    can probably get them from http://www.xircom.com

    /Mitch.

    Hi Mitch;

    I found the CENDIS.EXE AND CEDFG.EXE on the Xircom homepage as you
    said, but I was not able to find PROTMAN.SYS or NETBIND.COM on
    Microsofts page. Would it be under Windows95, Windows3.1 or LANmanager
    or another topic? I also checked the IRIS kit location and didn't see
    them there yet.

    Thanks,

    Gary
