Hi, My name is John Sanders, I feel kinda weird writing in *THIS*
notesfile because up til now I have not been single, but after 13 years
of marriage my wife decided she needed a boy friend and fell in love
with him and called it quits with me. I will be 34 next month and am a
non-smoker. I have a wonderful 12 year old son that I have phisical
custody of. I enjoy music, dancing, bowling, golf (not good at it) and
going to movies. I work in CX03 and I hope I wasn't to long winded
    here.

    Hi,

I'm the one they call 'Bad Boy'. I'm into extreme skiing, peak baggin',
white water tubing, fast cars, the Cave Dogs in concert, the
Headbangers Ball and just a generally wicked good time.

BTW-I'm also a nice, down to earth and generally laid back kinda guy
    too!

    Hello,

My name is Rob Miskowitch. I'm currently located at CXN2, I say
currently because I've been with DEC for nine years and been at seven
locations, and all in Colorado. Pretty much the same job for the nine
years, I'm in software services, or EIS, or Digital Services, or
whatever we call ourselves today. My interests are pretty diverse,
from photography (Mosty B & W), to skiing (Downhill or Cross-country)
to cycling (Road or Mountain), to music (Mozart or Talking Heads or 50s
and 60s or something like Harry Connick Jr).

moved to Colorado Springs in October, 1990.

I am a Software Engineer with Enterprise Storage Manage-

intelligent, analytical, resourceful, shy (at first),
               determined, flexible, spontaneous, adventurous,

folk, some classical, some new age, no rap, no heavy
               metal, no new wave).

    Hi,

I'm Steve Susswein, one of the moderators of this file. I'm primarily
interested in meeting people who are interested in outdoor activites,
including hiking, skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, whitewater
    kayaking, and paragliding.

As the days get longer I'd like to start an after-work hiking group,
with the idea of doing a short (4-6 mile) hike one day a week after
    work.

6.9COOKIE::WILKINSDick Wilkins DBS/West CXNThu Mar 19 1992 16:1935
Hi all,

I'm Dick Wilkins. I have been reasonably active in the old file and
some of the activities it spawned. Lately the project I've been
working on has been taking most of my time but I've made some friends
and met many good acquaintances through the old file so I would like
to support this one. I am a:

    DWM, 40 yrs.
    5'9" ~210 lbs.
    Significantly thinning light brown hair,
    Full short beard. Blue/gray eyes.
    Non-smoker, light social drinker.

In my 40 years I've done a lot of varied sports/hobby/outdoor activities
and enjoyed most of them. Currently, in my limited spare time, I have
been puttering around my garage working on a motorcycle and taking
day rides with the local Harley Owners Group. I'm into music. I have
a pair of season seats at the CS Symphony and I like Grateful Dead
concerts. As you can see my taste is varied. About the only thing I
have some trouble with is the current Country and Western craze.

During the 3+ years I've been divorced I have gone through most of the
normal "phases" but I'm reasonably happy where I'm at right now. I
like meeting people and trying new experiences. If, in living the
rest of my life, I happen to run across the right person to spend
it with, that would be wonderful. In the mean time, I'm happy being
single.

I work for database systems over at CXN1 but I hear we are leasing our
building to MCI and we will be moving to CXO2 around June.

I hope to meet you all out there (including all you "read only noters").

                                    Dick

Add mine and Terza's best wishes also. Your still single until
you say "I Do". So stay involved.

Maybe if we all just thought of ourselves as single and kept
the romance alive, there would be fewer divorces. Of course,
there are some relationships where that can't happen, however
we all did marry the other person for SOME reason.
    		Best of everything.

6.16Sensitive guyCSC32::J_ALBANESELife's too short to drink bad wine.Fri Jun 26 1992 02:0047
	Hi,

	My name is Joe,

I'm shy and reclusive, but love to watch other people party
and have fun. Which is why I have a big party each year and
why you and 1200 other people get mail from me each year in May.
	Sometimes more than once!

I really like Star Trek (I'm not a trekki, or is that trekker?
though) and love to stay up late and watch all of those west
coast game shows like "Love Connection", "The Personals" and,
my favorite, "Night Games" (cable here doesn't carry "Studs").
I consider my remote control an extension of my "self" and
often use the "alt chan" button to switch between A&E and
Discovery (now they have The Learning Channel too!). My
	passion is living life vicariously!!

I've read this conference for years and finally got up the
courage to actually write something in here, although I'll
probably wimp out and delete it.

My interests aren't very interesting but I have been told I
live life dangerously (the other day I had a headache and so
even though I had had a glass of Riuniti with supper - the
Lambrusco, to go with my Swanson's Salisbury steak - I took
two asprin. Still I was up and in work early the next day!).
Many people think I'm scary because I understand Gary Larson.

David Dyben is a very very very good friend of mine, and am I
a lucky guy or what?!? We even hang out together sometimes and
talk about male bonding and riding on motorcycles.

So is there anybody out there that would like to get together
and do something fun?? Maybe we could go to the mall together
and I can talk about myself some more!! I'm up for a wild
time if you are!!! Just ask David, he knows the true party
	creature that I am.

So if you're looking for a sensitive, macho, intellectual,
sports loving, wild, but down to earth, 90s type of guy, with
remnants of the 80s and looking forward to the 20s... I'm it!
	Lets party!!!

BTW, I used to wear glasses.

That's "cold" David, very very "cold"! I didn't realize the
talk about riding on my motorcycle had such a profound and
disturbing affect on you. I sense more than just a little
insecurity coming through in the form of denial.

I thought I had an entry in here but I guess not. Note 25 in the New
Mexico Notes file announced this conference when it was on DAVIDP:: a
long time ago. I've been a watcher ever since then. I'm hoping there
are some New Mexicans that watch this file as well (speak up).

My name is Denise simon and I am a software specialist in Albuquerque
working for a manager at CXO so I spend a small amount of time up there.
I'm a 35 year old single female. I'll leave the rest of the details
for an ad should I decide to place one. Over the years, I've had two ads
in the big singles file back east. The first looking for a date or two
(when I lived in MA - I was there 12 years and have been in NM for 4)
and the second looking for some socializing partners during a 5-week
training stay (ended up on a really fun camping trip due to the note).
Anyway, I had some responses and I've responded to a few notes and
generally had a good experience. I don't get to note as much as I'd like
to but will try to contribute as I can here.

    Howdy pardners!

I'm Robin Pondysh from the Adirondack Mountains in NY and thought I'd
inject a few cents. Used to live up north of you in a little town
called Windsor (near Ft. Collins/Loveland/Greeley). Sure miss all that
sunshine this summer especially. I'm a single male, 42,175#,5'10" and
live in a log home I built in the woods. Volleyball is finally starting
to catch on here which is another thing I really missed from Col. Hope
to make a trip out there for some skiing this winter or on the Harley
in summer. Was married when I was there last so it will be nice to see
some of the girls I worked with at HP in my new situation. Those Col.
girls could certainly compete with any girls I've seen anywhere. Any
correspondent's welcome. If you like to ski all the better! Hope to
    meet some of you.
    			 Merry Christmas!!

Hi, My name is Roger. This is kind of an unusual posting as I am
writing it for my son who lives in Denver. He has been there since
April of 92, and loves it.

Being new to the area he hasn't made all that many friends. Although
he is not a DEC employee I hope I can qualify as a representative for
him. For now I would like to act as a middle man. Naturaly he has no
idea of what I am doing.

Through this Notes file maybe I can introduce him to someone of the
opposite sex. Stranger things have happened through the Notes file...

His name is David. His is 22 years old. Last time I saw him he was
about 6 FT tall 180 Lbs. Red Hair. Loves to Draw (a natural talent).
His biggest passion is his motorcycle. Next to woman I hope!!! Loves
to camp out. Loves animals. Was in the Air Force, stationed in the
Philipine Islands. Does a lot of skiing. Shares an appartment with a
roomate. He is very sensitive and affectionate. Takes after his
father of course. A casual drinker. Occasionally goes overboard, but
regrets it the next morning. Rather handsome, from the viewpoint of
his father. Not conceited, I have it all....

Well that should cover it for now. If anyone has any interest or knows
anyone that may be interested send me mail and I'll forward the
information to him. If more information is required I will do what I
    can.

    Thanks

Hi, my name is Yvette Lucero and I am one of the moderators of
this notesfile and thought I would place this intro back in again.

I have lived in the Springs since 1984 and have worked for
Digital since that time after graduating from the University
of Wyoming. I now am housed in the Customer Support Center.
I have grown to love Colorado Springs and all it has to offer.

I also have given some parties at my home such as a few Halloween
parties and summer barbeques. Of course, the faces keep changing
over the years but some old friends I've met have kept in touch.
Normally, I have a mix of couples as well as singles attending.

Some of my hobbies are taping movies, cooking, cross country ski,
golf, traveling (preferably the western U.S./southwestern areas
and some day I hope to go to Europe, Alaska or the Caribbean).
I am also an 'animal lover' esp. cats and an 'environmentalist'
with respect to recycling type of activities that I volunteer with.
I'm more down to earth and prefer a Southwestern design for my home.
I most recently am studying the Spanish language since I am Spanish.

Hope to become acquainted with more of you again in the future.

    Hi!

I've read this conference from time to time just to see what was going
on. I know Rob M. and Dick W. from working with them both (small world
    in Digital Colorado Springs!)

On to the personals. I'm a divorced white male with current joint
custody of my 2 1/2 year old daughter. I've been divorced for three
months after a 11 year marriage (no emotional baggage -- the divorce
was very adult and amicable). I am 35 yrs. old, 5ft. 8in., 160lbs.,
non-smoker, very light social drinker, brown hair (slightly thinning),
brown eyes, and short soft beard (I've got no personal attachment to
the beard, so I'm clean shaven when the need/desire happens).

My interests are diverse and I'm always interested in learning about
others' interests. Some of my interests are: intermediate skiing
(Nordic/downhill), backpacking/camping, golf, scuba diving, sailing,
moderate difficulty mountain biking, attending plays, board games (the
more players the better!), watching well directed and acted movies,
listening to "Riders in the Sky Radio Theater" on KRCC, Celtic music
(listening and performing -- I'm a member of the Pikes Peak Highland
Pipe Band), walking and hiking the Rocky Mtns., Baking bread and cakes,
and traveling with good friends (Where ever you go, there your are).

Other details: I like dogs, cats, and kids. I speak a little Spanish
(and would like to learn more). And I recycle everything that I can.

I have lived in the 'Springs since 1987 and have worked for Digital for
the same amount of time (now I'm vested, phew... that's a relief! --
    just a *little* sarcasm...)

I hope to meet the members of this conference in the near future.

    Richard
