152.0. "Men's Discussion Group" by ASABET::MOLLIN () Mon Jan 23 1995 11:03

    I am interested in joining or starting a men's discussion group.

    Does anyone know of any groups that would be willing to accept new
    people and how I could get in touch with a member of the group.

    Since finding and joining an existing group may be difficult, I am also
    interested in starting a new group. If any of you are interested in
    exploring this possibility, please send me mail at ASABET::MOLLIN

152.6 In Person GroupASABET::MOLLINMon Jan 23 1995 20:1214
    Sorry I wasn't clear.

    I was thinking of an in person group that would meet in the evening
    at some regular interval, like once a month or the the first and third
    Monday of the month.

    The idea is to talk about things not normally discussed in casual
    conversations. An example would be to focus on a specific relationship
    and we have or have not dealt with it.

    There are some published guidelines on how to start such a group and I
    plan to get one of them if I am part of a newly formed group.

    One way to go about this is to get your local church group
    involved. I think the UU Church of Hudson/Marlboro sponsors
    such a group. You might want to call the church office and
    chat with the minister there.
