    HHHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!
    
    My husband wears a size 14 shoe (15 if it is steel toe) and usually
    wide.  Shoes are a big problem, trying to find them to fit; BUT
    socks are even worse.
    
    I need to find a shop that carries regular Lg/Wide sock, not tubes.
    I have found them in a few Big and Tall mens shops, but the price
    usually is about $3.50 a pair (OUCH!)
    
    Any hints on less expensive sock shops would be greatly appreciated.
    I live in the Manchester, NH, area; but go to Worchester quite often,
    would rather stay away from the Boston hassles if possible.
    
    Anyone else out there with the same problem?

	Try looking in a Sears catalogue. They have lots of hard to find stuff in their catalogues, and they're reasonable. Not always the highest quality, but better than nothing. I was able to find "snuggies" for my grandmother there... Just curious: why do _you_ worry about your husband's socks? CQ

	Sears is a good bet. Ask them for their Tall Mans catalogue for an even larger :-) selection. John

	Hate to admit this, but try the Sears Tall and Big catalog. I buy their Sears Best brand in bulk whenever their socks go on sale. Their colors and styles are universal. If you buy the Best brand, they last longer than ordinary styles purchased in other stores. Good luck,

	I know this is a lot late for '86 Christmas, but have you checked the Calvert's on Rte 38 in Tewksbury? It's at exit 38 of Rte 495 just off the ramp. They have a wide variety of sizes although I certainly don't need that size myself (8.5) Frank
