    RECOGNIZING AND UNDERSTANDING DEPRESSION
    	
    In almost all major studies of depression in adults, depression is estimated 
    to be twice as common in females as in males.
    
    Paula Kelleher and Ken Hammond of the Employee Assistance Program will 
    present an informative talk on understanding and recognizing depression.
    
    	-  Why are so many women affected by depression?
    	-  What are the different forms of depression?
    	-  Symptoms to look for in yourself and in others

    Monica Kent, LICSW will present a program on women, body image and self 
    esteem. Monica is a clinician, as well as a leader of women's support
    groups.

    Topics to be discussed:
   
    - What is the relationship between body image and self esteem?
    - What is self esteem, how do women develop it, and how can women improve 
      it?
    - How important is body image, and what are the cultural and social 
      messages that women receive about their bodies?
