    I am going to try to be there. Don't know yet what I'll bring.

    Well, that's true, Jim, but ANY Saturday or Sunday from Labor Day
    through late October would be SOMEBODY'S Canobie Lake day.  I really
    didn't want to push the party out until November.  If you want to
    come to the party, simply go to Canobie on some other day after
    the 17th.  I've never had trouble with this.
    
    Anyway, the party doesn't start till 4, and Canobie closes at 5,
    so I don't really see a conflict.

    I wish I could attend, but not only is it CXO's day at Elitch's
    amusement park in Denver, but there's a small matter of about
    2,000 miles.  If you ever get out this way, feel free to give
    me a call for lunch, happy hour, coffee, or something.

    Well, it's now only two weeks away, and we've got a good crowd
    signed up already!  This is going to be fun...
    
    I'd appreciate it if people could indicate what they might bring
    (by mail or a reply here).  It looks as if we could use some "main
    dishes", fruits, vegetables and other munchies.  The best kind of
    party food is easy to handle, not too messy and can be eaten with
    one hand.  You should bring some sort of beverage too - a lot of
    people would enjoy soda, juices, etc., and maybe less beer.
    
    I will be sending out directions to my house a few days before the
    event.  If you have any questions, just let me know.

    What a great party!  We had a good crowd - not too many, not too
    few - and LOTS of delicious food!  (Wendy - you are hereby ordered
    to bring those caramel brownies to every HUMAN_RELATIONS party
    hereon! :-))
    
    One thing that was good was that most of those attending had not
    met most of the others previously, so a lot of new friends were
    made.

    Having been a read mostly noter, it's nice to put faces behind
    the names. You almost feel that you know people before you
    meet them, and I think that's why it's so comfortable when you 
    actually meet them in person.

    GREAT PARTY!!!!! There was a nice compliment of people there as
    well as some who don't work for DEC but came with the ones who do.
    The chicken wings were great ... Hawaian and Chinese. BUT for all
    you MUNCHY-AHOLICS .... ;-}   the caramel brownies were a GOD-SEND!!!!!

	Great party, Steve - just the right amount of people for good
	conversation, good (recognizable:-) food (particularly the
	spaghetti pie & chocolate cake roll), from my perspective just
	the right mix of people I already knew and "new" people I
	hadn't met yet. Hopefully if Dee & I host a noter's party one
	of these days it'll turn out as well...
