5.1GAY/LESBIAN PANEL OGO 6/23 2-4SONATA::CARDILLOTue Jun 16 1992 18:1121
GAY, LESBIAN, & BISEXUAL ISSUES AT WORK: A Panel Discussion

Tuesday, June 23, at OGO, from 2-4 in the Cafeteria

A lot of people have the impression that being gay, lesbian or bisexual has to
do with sexual preference. People in the gay community prefer the term "sexual
orientation" because as they see it, "preference" implies a choice. For them,
it is not a matter of choice. It's just the way they are.

Because being gay is more than a sexual issue, it is not just a private matter.
People who are gay and who work at Digital have many concerns. We hope you'll
come to the panel discussion to hear Cathy Welsh, Gerry Fisher, and Mary
Philbin discuss what some of them are. Also on the panel
will be Ann Strine, Frank Willison and Adrian Leighton, managers who have been
in a supervisory position to gay employees. They will talk about their
experiences, how the productivity of the group was affected and what lessons
were learned. Another panelist, Al Komins, is the parent of a gay son.

There will be a brief presentation followed by an opportunity for questions and
answers.
