859.0. "WINTER HUMAN RELATIONS PARTY - 27 JAN 1990" by ICESK8::KLEINBERGER (There's 246!, 246? yes 246!) Fri Oct 06 1989 23:08

WINTER PARTY TOPIC WINTER PARTY TOPIC WINTER PARTY TOPIC

Seeing that true Winter is is really in the dead of January, and by that
time most of us will be needing a lift from being worn out from
Christmas shopping (those that still have some left to do that is)

The WINTER Human Relations Party is booked for the 27th of January,
from 2pm to Midnight(ish) at the Shrewsbury Commons Clubhouse,
    Shrewsbury, Mass.

Since they asked for (and recieved :-)) a LARGE damage deposit, we have
to be neat that night :-)... Smoking will be outside, and there are no
    cats :-)

This also gives the Colorado crew that wants to come three months
notice for savings, and my house will be open to any that would like to
    stay over for that evening.

More information as the time gets closer!!!

Dale, you *know* I don't need convincing.... I haven't recovered from reading
the *replies* about the last party, let alone actually attending it.

Will just have to start saving my sheckles for next May (either that or

Well.. the clubhouse is still standing today, and I even got the full

all who pitched in and helped setting up and cleaning up!!!

I happen to still have one pair of handcuffs in my possession... I'm sure
the owner knows how he can get them back :-)

Kathy... Geezz.. you had to read the *REALLY REALLY REALLY* fine print to
see who made sure you were represented at least in name-tag, if not in
person, so that your spirit was there...

And speaking of name-tags.. Mike I will NEVER stop laughing over "So, *YOU*
tell me who it is!!!!"... That was priceless!.. Thanks to Dan and Chris
for the switch-aroo...

I'm willing to donate the clubhouse again... just ask... (as long as it
comes with the choc-o-lait stuff !! :-)...)

And.. the mystery guest made it to the airport, JUST as they were announcing
"Final Boarding Call".. talk about RUSHING bags through checkout - running
down to the "do you have a gun hidden" gates, and a quick hug... he DID
make the plane on time, I made sure that it left WITH him on it...

Sounds like I missed a good party. My SO was sick all weekend and
I didn't have the heart to leave him to go partying. The good part
was that I'd already made the mini cheesecakes! They were very good!
8^) I brought a dozen to work, so if you're in the MKO2 area...

at the same time, if that is ok with everyone

[] Jody and Diane, I hope you didn't mind my listening to you
I would've offered some feedback, but most of the conversation

Sorry we couldn't make it either. My wife and i were on our way, complete
with dessert, beverage, etc. However, Lynn was feeling pretty sick with the
flu and wasn't much in the partying mood. Wouldn't you know it? - a party
that we live only 8 miles from for once, and couldn't attend....hope to
make the next one.

Wow! Whatta bunch!!

First off, mucho thanx to our hosts, Amy, Doug, && Gale!

[awright, Gale, tell me straight: do you happen to own a parachute to
go with that outfit? 8-) ]

Next, thankx to everyone else for being such a great crowd! [a buddy of
mine who throws great parties says it's not the host that makes the
party, it's the guests!]

Finally, re: 859.73: Wellll.... when we finally get the renovations done
on our living room (hopefully sometime this summer) we'd like to throw
a party of our own. We're in Worcester, not too far from Saturday's
venue... maybe we'll see y'all then!

Take care everyone!

Thanks for the party. Had a great time, particularly with the meat
balls and the chicken wings. Won the game on pictionary.
Once again, thanks to the organizer.

    RE: .75 and .76

Well, to quote a infamous {almost} 11 year old... Eugene did cuz he
    cheated :-)

Something about pointing to look at something and a marker being
moved all the way to end is how *I* got the story of .75 winning :-)

Eugene.. sorry for leaving you off the guest list...

    re .76,

See, even Rachael sez it so (I won that is)! Tasted Perrier (sp?) for
the first time (By the way, who brought it to the party?). Well, it
doesn't taste that good. I would rather have a Jolt next time.

This story sounds even better than Eugene's! 8-)

Yeah, but my marker appeared in the finish box before the next roll
of the die. And since it's a synchronous game that made it a tie! 8-)

    Amy, Gale, Doug... Thanks!

And it was really nice to meet so many neat people! I only wish I
could have stayed longer. We had some trouble on the flight to
Laconia (on the ground - NOT in the air!) and we didn't get back till
    after midnight.

But at least I finally got to meet some of people that go with the
little names in the upper left-hand corner!

Hope to see you at the next party, and to stay longer! (Maybe lose the
    keys to hand cuffs?)

Good thing you didn't or you would have had one unpleased D on your hands...er,
wrists. I stayed too late as it was!! :-)
