| Yes, what is your "CORE" group, and what does it stand for ?
We have a "CORE" group up here, but I kind of doubt it relates
to what you're talking about. Our "CORE" group is made up of a
bunch of Digital Employees whose job is to software maintain our
"CORE" system. Our "CORE" system is what we use for call-tracking
when customers call our Canadian Customer Support Centre for help.

| I'm *very* interested in valuing differences, but...alas, I'm a
woman. When you need another woman in your Core Group, please contact
me. I have a lot to offer. I live in Merrimack, NH and work in Nashua.

(taken from an article in US FIELD NEWS, 1985 "CORE Groups are Helping
Managers Value Differences")
...A Core group consists of 7 - 9 people who meet regularly to
discuss issues involving affirmative action and valuing differences
These include: innate differences, such as race or sex, and how they
impact participants on both professional and personal levels.
Each group is facilitated by a specially-trained leader, and
strict confidentiality is observed so that people can feel safe to
share their thoughts, to be vulnerable. [Note: There are presently
about 130 groups throughout the company, crossing all functions, and
more recently, including many levels of employees, not just
managers]...
Core groups present an opportunity to learn about other
people's values and culture. And when the barriers to understanding
and valuing differences are lowered, people can direct their unique
skills in a heightened creative and effective way.
...[quote from Barbara Walker] We are also looking to develop
leaders who can understand people's core identity issues and are
comfortable working those concerns at Digital..."
