At one point time there used to an XXDP notes conference
(on JON::XXDP). That conference has since disappeared.
Its been a long time since I played with XXDP diagnotics.
The following information is from my notes (10+ years old),
so it may not be 100% correct. It is for copying XXDP files
to a magtape. I assume something similar can be done to copy
to a RXxx floppy or RDxx disk drive.

To copy XXDP diagnostics from a VMS disk to XXDP magtape:
- make sure that the magtape is XXDP bootable (build
by using UPDAT.BIN)
- mount the XXDP bootable magtape on a VMS system
$ ALLOC MTA0:
$ MOUNT/FOR/DENS=800 MTA0:
$ EXCHANGE
EXCHANGE> COPY/LOG *.*;*/TRANFER=BLOCK MTA0:*.*/VOL=DOS
EXCHANGE> DIR MTA0:/VOL=DOS
EXCHANGE> EXIT
$ DISM MTA0:
