1257.0. "DEC7000 will not boot LFU off of a writebooted disk" by CSC32::GULDEN () Fri Apr 04 1997 14:24

      I am attempting to boot LFU off of a non system disk.
    I have copied the firmware AXP7000_v16.exe contiguous to
    a disk DUA900:[000000]. I then writeboot that file on the AXP.

     The disk shows at the console as DUB900.2.0.13.0 . I enter
    >>> B -fl 0,0 dub900.2.0.13.0
    After map gets

    Booting...
    Connecting to boot device dka400.4.0.3.0
    Created device: dka400.4.0.3.0
    block 0 of dka400.4.0.3.0 is a valid boot block
    reading 894 blocks from dka400.4.0.3.0
    bootstrap code read in
    base = 200000, start = 0
    initializing HWRPB at 2000
    initializing page table at 1f4000
    initializing machine state
    jumping to bootstrap at 200000

    Halt 02
    Kernel Stack not Valid
    >>>Bootstrap failed

      I can use the same file on the system disk and specify flags of 0,80
    and at bootfile enter dub900:[sys0.sysexe]axp7000_v16.exe and it boots
    ok. Any ideas why this is failing.
