I have a request from a customer who is planing an upgrade
of VMS V5.5-2 to V7.1 on a Vax 6600. His wants to know
if a comsole microcode upgrade is required.
I can find little info. on the subject,( not suprised)
the last reference chart for console micrcode I could find was tima
article. Does any one have a recent pointer to the latest console
microcode, Is it still on vaxpack distribution, ?

The latest console code for 6610 is V1.07 which I believe has been on
the VAXPAX releases since rel 57 back in 1995. The 6xxx VAXPAX
distribution has been discontinued as of last year but I think the last
release is still orderable from DECdirect. The part number is/was:
QZ-K33AA-FW.18.0 Full Field Service Kit which includes a TK50 and
Magtape

Hi,
VAXPAX release 58 was the last and it seems like ages ago when that
was released - it was the last.
If you need the EEPROM image (binary) or any other files like
EVUCA.EXE, from VAXPAX 58, I can make them available.
