41.0. "needed: place for routine car maintenance" by BEES::MILLERV (Valerie Miller) Tue Jan 13 1987 12:07

I saw the note on body shops, but I didn't see any note on good places to
go for routine car maintenance such as oil changes.

What I could use is a gas station or garage within walking distance of the
Mill (so I can drop the car off in the morning and walk to work, then walk
back to pick it up in the evening).

any recommendations?

    If its walking distance you want I would say your best bet is probably
    the Exxon station across from the Town Hall. I wouldn't use the
    one next to the Pizza House (just a personal opinion from someone
    whose lived in Maynard for 22 years). If you can get a ride the
    Stow Amoco or is it Mobil now on Rt.117 across from Countryfare
    Star hasn't been too bad, nor the one at the end of Main St. in
    Maynard at the 117 end on the left going to Stow. If I had to choose
    I'd say take the last one. Hopefully the management is the same,
    and the service just as good. For myself, I've been using my dealer
    for 3 years, its convenient for me.

    Good luck.

41.2Citgo, not ExxonMANTIS::MILLERVValerie MillerThu Jan 22 1987 11:386
	There is a Citgo accross from Town Hall, not an Exxon.
	I assume that it used to be an Exxon and has changed
	affiliations. I wonder if it is still owned by the
	same person and offers the same service. How long ago
	did you go there?
41.3Christmas MotorsYODA::CARMISCIANOWed Jan 28 1987 18:425
    I highly recommend Christmas Motors, on route 27 in Maynard going
    towards Acton. You would need a ride, but probably will be easy
    to get one, everyone goes by that way from route 2. I have been
    going there for repairs for 5 years and have no complaints. If
    you call, ask for Bob. 897-XMAS
