    HELP!
    
    I have a customer at Detroit-Edison who is considering a large purchase
    of Digital Servers. The deal depends on ServerWORKS agents' ability to
    send traps to their HP Open View system "without significant polling".
    
    I have sent him the document "ServerWorks integration with enterprise
    system and network management platforms" that I got from
    http://cpcpub.vbo.dec.com/~tss/page5.htm.
    
    He has been unable to get the mibs compiled in Open View (doesn't want
    to use the ServerWORKS Management console) and wants to know if
    Serverworks does any polling. I assume Open View will do the polling
    and Serverworks is just an agent.
    
    He keeps saying how easy Compaq's product, Insight(?), works with
    Openview. He is getting irritated and like I said, his purchase of
    Digital servers hinges on this getting solved.
    
    Could someone knowledgeable in Open View and ServerWorks call me to
    arrange a con-call with this customer so we can answer his questions
    all at once and win this sale?

    After working with Chet White and the customer, we found that
    integrating the serverworks functionality into HP OpenView really isn't
    going to work - just some basic snmp functionality.
    
    The customer now is trying to forward the ServerWORKS traps but is
    unable to get it to work using the .ini file noted in the docs - don't
    recall the name.
    
    He is desparate and can't drag this out any longer and is willing to
    pay someone to go on site and set it up for him but I need someone with 
    OpenView and ServerWorks expertise.
    
    Can someone Help?
